J.A.P. Senior Care Services was founded and dedicated to our grandmother and great-grandmother, Ethel M. Sanders. Her warmth, her dignity, and her unwavering spirit of compassion for everyone around her left a mark on our family that we carry into every home we serve.
When we built this agency, we didn’t just want to start a business — we wanted to honor her by giving other families the kind of attentive, dignified, heartfelt care that every senior deserves. Ethel’s legacy is the foundation of everything we do at J.A.P.

Meet the Founder of J.A.P. Senior Care Services
Yarlardo Henderson, RN
Yarlardo Henderson is a Registered Nurse with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, spanning clinical nursing, senior living administration, and home care management.
She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Herzing University and has spent her entire career committed to one purpose — improving the quality of life for seniors.
Before founding J.A.P., Yarlardo served as Executive Director at Morningside of Vestavia, a senior living community where she led improvements in resident care quality, staff performance, and overall satisfaction, earning multiple industry recognitions in the process.
As owner and CRO of J.A.P. Senior Care Services, Yarlardo brings that same clinical rigor and personal warmth to home-based care. When you choose J.A.P., you’re choosing a team that is accountable to a nurse, and a nurse who is accountable to you.
